When it comes to festive wreaths, we firmly believe we are the best in the business and our wreaths have regularly adorned the famous door of Number 10 Downing Street. On the 4 occasions we have entered the annual British Christmas Tree Growers Association competition (open to all countries of the United Kingdom), we have been crowned overall champions every time. After winning the accolade for the 4th year in a row we were asked not to enter the following year to give everyone else a chance - possibly the greatest recommendation of all!!!!!

What are our wreaths made from?

In short, Noble Fir foliage and a lot of pride. The longer answer is that from the beginning of November, foliage is taken from selected Noble Fir trees. This foliage is roughly graded on site before being transferred to our workshop. Once at the workshop, it is once again graded into size and quality which will determine which part of the wreath it will be used to make. Once assembled and when required seasonal accessories such as holly, berries, pine cones and of course the traditional tartan bow are added to complete the finished article.

The wreaths are made using a specially adapted wreath making machine and ’clamp rings’. The clamp ring is place in the jaws of the machine and the first bundle of foliage is placed in place. Pressing on the foot pedal of the machine closes the jaws of the machine and holds the foliage in place. This process of turning the clamp ring and adding additional foliage is repeated until all sections of the clamp ring are filled.

How long will our wreaths last?

howlongObviously this is dependant on where the wreath is placed. It is generally the case that a wreath placed on the outside of the door at the beginning of December will hold its colour and more importantly its needles until the 12th day of Christmas.
